GENDER INCLUSIVITY
in the workplace
Creating a workplace culture that is supportive of the gender identities and expressions of all employees is an essential step that employers should take to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and clients.
Pronouns are important to a person’s identity, so respectfully using the correct pronouns is very important.
Affirming Language and Current Terminology
In relation to the LGBTQ community and similarly related communities, understanding and affirming language is crucial. The course is updated frequently to ensure terminology is current.

A key factor in imparting this knowledge is understanding that these identities, while lumped together, encapsulate separate sexual orientations and gender identities.
Employees are diverse and that simply refers to the range of identities that exist in a group of people. Common identity categories include race, class, gender, religion, and sexual orientation.
Transitioning (social, legal, medical, cultural)

WATCH A SHORT HIGHLIGHT REEL
When employees feel supported and valued, they are more likely to be engaged, committed, and loyal to their organization. Additionally, an inclusive workplace culture can attract and retain diverse talent, which can bring different perspectives, ideas, and skills to the organization and ultimately lead to better business outcomes.
This type of investment not only promotes a culture of inclusion and respect but also encourages a healthier and more productive work environment.
